Semaglutide or Tirzepatide: Which Is Right For You?
GLP-1 medications like semaglutide and GLP-1/GIP medications like tirzepatide reduce appetite, slow digestion and support healthy blood sugar regulation.
Branded options in these classes include FDA-approved medications such as Wegovy®, Ozempic®, Mounjaro® and Zepbound®. Our $299/month to $429/month programs use compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide variations combined with vitamins when medically appropriate to assist with weight loss while reducing side effects for qualified patients. Before initiating treatment, our providers conduct a thorough assessment to make sure you are a candidate for these treatments based on your individual health history. We also prescribe brand-name GLP1 & GLP1/GIP medications for clients when appropriate. Brand-name medications are prescribed through your pharmacy of choice, with Renew providers managing the prescription and providing monthly diet and exercise coaching for a $75 monthly clinical fee. Mention of these products is for educational reference only and does not imply sponsorship or endorsement by their manufacturers.

Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program
As of July 1, 2026, Medicare Part D members can access brand-name GLP-1 medications for $50 a month through a limited-time bridge program. Renew provides the clinical side — prescription management, nurse practitioner oversight and personalized coaching — for a flat $75 a month.
Estimated total: around $125 a month. $50 to the pharmacy for your medication, $75 to Renew for clinical support.
You may qualify if you have:
- BMI of 35 or above
- BMI of 30 or above with a qualifying cardiovascular or kidney condition
- BMI of 27 or above with prediabetes, or a history of heart attack or stroke
This program is designed for patients who don't already have GLP-1 coverage under their Part D plan. If you're currently prescribed a GLP-1 for diabetes, sleep apnea or fatty liver disease, you may already be covered — it's worth calling your drug plan to confirm before enrolling.

FAQS
Common Medical Weight Loss Questions
Starting a weight loss medication comes with questions, and you should have the answers before you commit to anything. These are the ones we hear most. Anything else, call or text (413) 438-5737 and you'll speak to someone at the clinic.
How much does medical weight loss cost in Springfield?
From $299 a month all-inclusive on Express Lane, or $329 with monthly in-person visits and nutrition coaching.
What’s the difference between Semaglutide and Tirzepatide?
Semaglutide targets one hormone receptor (GLP-1), while Tirzepatide targets two (GLP-1 and GIP), offering an added effect for some patients. Both are effective, but some people respond better to one over the other.
Do I need insurance?
No. Programs are self-pay with no membership or consultation fees.
Do I have to come in for an appointment first?
Not necessarily. Express Lane lets you enroll by text at any hour — a provider reviews your health history before anything is prescribed, and you collect your medication in Springfield. If you'd prefer to be seen in person first, book a consultation and you can often start the same visit.
What's the difference between semaglutide and tirzepatide?
Semaglutide is a GLP-1 medication. Tirzepatide is dual-action, working on GLP-1 and GIP receptors together. Both are weekly injections. Which one suits you depends on your medical history, your goals and how you respond — that's part of what your provider assesses at your first review.
disclaimer:
The GLP1s offered at Renew weight loss med spa are compounded with different vitamins added and thus are not FDA equivalent, and are not exact replicas of any branded medications on the market. These Compounded medications are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA does not review compounded products for safety, effectiveness, or quality.
Is a real medical provider involved?
Yes. Every patient is reviewed by Loic Assobmo, AGNP-BC, a board-certified nurse practitioner. He reviews your full health history, prescribes your medication, and adjusts your dose as you progress. You're not filling out a form that a system approves automatically.
How soon will I see results?
Most patients notice reduced appetite within the first few weeks. Weight change is gradual and varies considerably between individuals depending on starting weight, adherence and other medical factors. Your provider will set realistic expectations for your situation at your first review.
Do I need to follow a diet or exercise plan?
The medication works best alongside changes to how you eat and move, which is why nutritional counseling and exercise coaching are included at no extra cost. There's no rigid plan to follow — coaching is built around what's realistic for you.
What if the program isn't working for me?
Your provider reviews your progress monthly and can adjust your dose or switch your medication if you're not responding as expected. If you decide to stop, there's no contract and no cancellation fee — programs are month to month.
Do you take Medicare?
We don't bill Medicare directly, but Medicare Part D members may qualify for the GLP-1 Bridge Program: $50 a month for brand-name medication through your plan, plus a $75 monthly clinical fee to Renew. That's around $125 a month in total. Eligibility depends on your BMI and medical history — see our full Medicare guide for details.
